First Grade Class

We are excited that you are here to learn with us in 1A and 1B! We center our instruction around building a strong reading foundation and developing the whole child. Remember to support your child's efforts with providing many opportunities for reading practice- reading ingredients for a recipe, reading the menu at a restaurant, searching for words A-Z in the car and reading them aloud, reading directions on a game or food preparation. It can become a fun way to allow your child to realize that they really are capable of such skills and that it is an essential part of our daily lives.

As we enter the holiday season, we hope to spark a sense of gratitude with your child. In all of the beauty around where we live, the amazing resources and people at O.L.Q.A., and exciting experiences that lie ahead we can pause with a grateful heart each day. With a full heart, a mindset of self-improvement, and hard work the first graders of 2018 will move mountains!

All the best,

Ms. Brianna Engle - 1A

Mrs. Stephanie Christensen - 1B
