From our desk

We welcome all our learners, families and all our staff to the new academic year 2021-22. We hope you all are relaxed, recharged and are all set for the new academic year and also to be a part of this great learning community. We welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education. Every year brings positive changes and together we shall make this year of virtual learning an achievement for all our learners.

It’s a bright new beginning of another one creative year of their school life.

Staying motivated with remote learning

Encouragement plays a vital role for keeping young kids motivated.

Routines are so important — especially now, when our schedules have been turned upside down. “It’s essential to create a schedule for learning at home.” Kids, too, need some outside incentive to keep them interested in learning.

Boost Kids confidence- It is very important to boost their confidence. When you acknowledge your child’s feelings they know that you believe in them. When kids feel capable, they’re more likely to engage in hard work.

The Roles Parents Play in Online Learning

A parent’s role and impact on student success is both critical and apparent. Parents serve as a coach for their students, at any age, and support them through their learning process. A parent also plays a vital role in a student’s online learning. Students should see their parents as their greatest cheerleaders and coaches, knowing a coach won’t be misleading or overly positive, but constructive and goal-oriented. They need to reinforce the bigger picture and how the responsibilities of today point to the larger intention. Online learning affords students their own pace and exploration. By designating an area of the home for learning, parents can also keep an eye on progress and learning styles. Noting behaviors, opportunities and barriers, allow parents to adapt or adjust the standard as necessary to create the ideal path for their children. Parents might have to make peace with more screen time to allow children to connect with their friends. Give your child — and yourself — some grace as you navigate this new normal. After all, mental health is important for learning, too.

Glimpses of Learners Back to School...

Classroom Connection

Nursery

We began our year on the 8th day of June 2021.We were so excited to meet our learners and so were our learners and parents. The day started by welcoming everyone and introducing ourselves to them. Before starting our session we sang the prayer song and took Olive Trails promise. To make our learners comfortable, we played the action rhyme followed by interaction session.

We had planned games & activities which would develop our learner’s fine motor skills, gross motor skills and also help in building their concentration skills.

Game 1: We asked the learners to collect few pulses or beans in a bowl. They had to pick up a bean with the help of a tong or tweezer and put it in the other bowl.

Game 2: Learners were asked to take 2 baskets and place it at 2 ends. In one basket they had to collect few toys or balls. Then, with the help of the parent they had to pick up one toy/ball from one basket hop to the other end and place it in the other basket.

We also conducted the scribbling and paper tearing, paper crumpling, and paper twisting activities.

Fun Filled Games

Education is the gateway to a world of dreams. Motivation is the key. Teachers motivate the learners to participate in games by playing along with them. Teachers created many fun games for learners. For first day they crumbled paper balls and tried to hold the paper balls with two pencils from one bowl and place them into another bowl. Learners enjoyed playing this game thoroughly. They also played a spin the wheel game, wherein teachers spinned the wheel and asked some simple questions related to their interest. Teachers encouraged all learners to answer and learners enthusiastically participated in game.

World Ocean Day

Virtual Celebration.

“No Water, No Life “

“No Blue, No Green”

World Ocean Day was celebrated on 9th June. Teachers made a very colourful and informative PPT. They explained the learner’s the importance of oceans and how it is getting polluted through an interesting story. Songs were played while learners also did the actions of the sea animals. Learners also did a dance on Baby Shark song. They made a drawing of shark as guided by the teacher. Session ended by a game of identification of aquatic animals by pictures.

Learners enjoyed as well as learned a lot in this celebration. The celebration gave chance to spread awareness among human beings and carry out sustainable efforts and work towards putting a stop on plastic pollution in ocean.
