Dear Parents,


As the novel Coronavirus – COVID-19, continues to take its toll globally, parents are worried about their children’s safety more than ever. Many of you must be looking for the safety norms to keep your little ones protected without getting them in a panic.

Awareness is the best weapon against the outbreak of this disease. Communicate age-appropriate information and ways of prevention to your child.

Maintaining good hygiene is critical. Tell your children to wash their hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds. Tell them not to touch their nose, mouth and eyes with unclean hands.

Another effective way to fight coronavirus is to strengthen your little one’s immunity. Regular physical activity, exercise, balanced diet and enough sleep are proven to improve the immune function drastically. Daily intake of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant can be an effective remedy to boost the immune system.

If you feel your little one have mild cold, cough, fever, seek medical advice. Use a mask if you feel the symptoms and stay at home.

Put these simple measures into practice to ensure the safety of your little one and others in your family. Complete awareness and mindful conduct can combat this disease effectively!

English :

English writing is an essential skill encourages the learner’s to write letters from an early age which improves their communication, social and handwriting skills.

Teacher conducted a Recap of letters A to Z in sequence, using easy patterns so that the learner’s remember the formations of and sequencing of letters.

Math :

Math is an important part of learning for children in the early years because it provides vital life skills. They will help children problem solve, measure and develop their own spatial awareness, and teach them how to use and understand shapes.

The Teacher conducted a Recap of writing numbers 1 to 9 in sequence and also asked the students to perform oral counting of numbers 1 to 20 in sequence.

Story :

The importance of retelling stories is that it allows learner’s to organize and describe events, which enhance reading comprehension. Using pictures to retell a story can be highly beneficial to second language learning.

Teacher displayed a video of a story and later gave a explanation and asked the learner's interesting questions about the story.


Theme:

Animals not only help teach the learner’s to be compassionate, but also helps in their social development.

The Teacher introduced the young ones of animals, sound of animals and the homes where they live by displaying a video and the explained the topic.

English- Three letter words were dictated with the help of phonic sounds and learners were asked to write it down without taking parents help. We also introduced writing of three letter words rub, cub, tub.

Reading of the book “The mud pie” and the “colours was done ”was done in which learners were asked to show objects of every colour.

Rhyme – “Sea animals ” rhyme was been revised with action and learners were encouraged to recite individually.

Story- “The rainbow fish” story was narrated once followed by questions answer session.

Math –Missing numbers are always fun for learners this week we introduced missing numbers from 1 to 30. Learners were also taught to write number name of ten followed by writing all the number names (1-10) in sequence.

Theme- Recap of polar animals was done by showing PPT and asking questions.

Months Of The Year:-

A recap of months of the year was done through powerpoint presentation. Later teacher presented the image of months of the year with missing letters on the liveboard. Learners copied the months of the year in their notebook by filling the missing letters. This way they learnt the spellings of the months thoroughly..

Reading Comprehension:-

In Reading comprehension, learners study the picture, read the sentences written about the picture, understand it and then answer the simple questions. Recap of the reading comprehension was done through powerpoint presentation. Later an online game of reading comprehension was conducted where the learners had to match the pictures to the given sentences. Learners matched and gave the answers accurately. This way learners learnt about the reading comprehension thoroughly.

Picture Talk:- Rainy Season

A picture related to rainy season was shown to the learners. Teacher explained the picture to the learners. Later teacher asked the learners to say few sentences about the picture. Learners understood the picture thoroughly and could frame sentences on their own. Picture talk enhance their observation and communication skills.

Story:-

A recap of the story “The Proud Oak” was done in the class with the help of tree and weed puppet cutouts. Teacher explained the story to the learners with puppets. In the end she also explained the moral value we learnt through this story Learners enjoyed the puppet story very much, It enhanced their listening skills and moral values.

Later teacher discussed the story with the learners by asking driving questions. Learners gave the answers and understood the story thoroughly.

Math

Subtraction

Subtraction gives learners a framework for mastering math .

A recap of subtraction was done through powerpoint presentation. Later a class activity of subtraction was done where teachers wrote the vertical subtraction on the liveboard and learners had to do subtraction by drawing objects in their notebook as teacher guided them to do so .

Colour :- {Grey}

A recap of the colour ‘GREY’ was done through powerpoint presentation. Later a sponge dabbing activity was done where learners had to mix white and black colour to form grey colour , then they had to do sponge dabbing on a cloud cutout and stick yellow lightning cutouts on the cloud. Then they have to stick this cloud on a white sheet of paper. Learners enjoyed doing this activity and learnt thoroughly that by mixing black and white colour we get grey colour.

Theme

Summer Season:-

Recap of Summer season was done through PowerPoint Presentation. Later an activity was done with the learners. Learners had to make lemon juice with lemon, water, salt and sugar. Learners enjoyed doing this activity. It enhances their home life skills and learning skills. Learners had a better understanding of summer season by doing this activity.

Rainy Season:-

Recap of Rainy season was done through powerpoint presentation. Teacher explained about the rainy season to the learners.

Later an activity was conducted where the learners had to make rainy creatures like earthworm, frog, snake and snail with playdough as per their creativity. It enhances their imaginative and creative skills.

Summer Season/ winter season / Rainy season:-.

A recap of all the three seasons was done with the help of pictures through PowerPoint presentation. Later driving questions were asked about the pictures. Learners answered it accurately. They understood all the seasons thoroughly.

Virtual Birthday Celebration

Virtual birthday party is always a fun filled session with cake cutting and games. Virtual Birthday of learners were celebrated on 31st March 2021.

Learners cut cakes with the birthday song playing in the background.. Later learners played a riddle game and memory game and in the end they had a birthday party dance with music. They enjoyed this fun filled session and had gleaming smiles on their faces.
