We celebrated 'World Nature Conservation Day' on 28th July 2021. We discussed the possible ways of preserving nature and saving our precious resources. The learners expressed their ideas of saving energy at home by using it appropriately and switching it off when not required. We also discussed the 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle). Learners shared their personal experiences of using 'eco- friendly' products of cloth and paper bags instead of plastic. Most of all they decided to educate their friends, family and neighbours about it by making slogans and posters

This week we learnt about the characteristics of animals. The learners were able to express their understanding as the teacher classified the different classes of Vertebrates. We used the graphic organizer of 'Can, Are and Have'. Through this organizer we learnt and discussed on it's appearances, habitat and adaptation. To extend their understanding about Vertebrates the teacher did a riddle on “Who am I”

They enjoyed this activity as they got to know more about different animals.

Our K2 learners revised the consonant and vowel blends. Later the learners were introduced to the long vowel sound of 'a' that appears as 'ai', 'a_e' and 'ay'. Learner's understood the concept and were able to read words it using the right sounds. They have also started to attempt building sentences verbally or even writing them on their using the words.

National Parents' Day is celebrated on the fourth week of July annually.This year it is being marked on July 25.Parents are the biggest support system in our lives. They provide us guidance, blessings and stay by our side through every major milestone.And this day is the apt time to show our appreciation for their commitment and sacrifice towards bringing up their children in a safe environment and nurturing their lives.

So we at RBKIS planned an activity of students doing a Shout-out and telling or writing a few amazing things about their parents expressing their love towards them.

Our parents appreciated this sweet gesture from their kiddos!
