Music Ministry allows our congregation to share in worship and witness. The singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs builds community and praises God. It brings together people of all age levels, people of different origins, people of varied cultural, economic, social, and educational backgrounds.
Through music we celebrate the presence of God (God with us) and His life-changing power. God’s people collectively raise our hearts’ affection and focus our minds’ attention on the One who is worthy to receive our offerings of praise and worship.
A blended style of worship allows us to bring the witness of the past into the reality of the present. We must not forget or neglect the songs of faith that have brought us this far and we must not ignore the inspired music of today.
Martin Luther said, “Music is a fair and glorious gift of God.” This gift (music) should be offered back to the Giver in praise and worship to bring glory to Him. Soli Deo Gloria! (To God alone be Glory!)

Come and join us; we’d love to have you!
As they grow in their understanding of worship, children grow closer to Christ. Through music, children can discover a new gift, build self-esteem, and see how many ways we can glorify Him who gave us so many ways to express ourselves.

Olive Chapel offers three handbell choirs that meet from September through April. The handbell groups offer an opportunity to participate in worship through music even for those ringers who do not possess a musical background. Olive Chapel owns 5 ½ octaves of Shulmerich handbells and 5 octaves of Malmark choirchimes. Our goal is to come together to worship God through music.
The Children’s Bell Choir is open to any child in grades 1-6. This beginning bell group learns about music and ringing techniques. This group uses 2-3 octaves of handbells or choir chimes. All music is picked with a young, beginning choir in mind. Adult and youth helpers are paired with new ringers until the children are ready to ring on their own. Rehearsal: Sunday, 4:30-5:00 p.m.
The Trinity Ringers is an intermediate bell group that includes older, experienced children along with youth and adults. This group’s music is more advanced and uses 2-4 octaves of handbells or choirchimes. We welcome youth or adults with little to no bell/music experience to join this group. Rehearsal: Sunday, 4:00-4:30 p.m.
The Maggie Bell Choir comprises adult and advanced youth ringers. This group is our most advanced, but we welcome new adult ringers with little to no bell/music experience. This group’s music is the most complex and incorporates all 5 ½ octaves of bells. Rehearsal: Wednesday, 7:45-8:45 p.m.
