Welcome to Middle School Math!

I am very excited to be back this year at OLH. I have taught at Morton East High School and Elgin High School before staying home with my three children. I believe every student is able to learn mathematics; it just might take a little more time, hard work and dedication.

Students will work collaboratively to learn algebraic and geometric concepts.

Sixth grade: Students will learn about ratios, rates, fractions, factors, multiples, algebraic expressions, and solving equations. These concepts will develop further each year.

Seventh grade: Students will learn about proportional relationships, algebraic expressions, linear equations, and geometric concepts. These concepts will develop further in eighth grade.

Eighth grade: Students will learn about rational numbers, proportional relationships, lines, linear equations, functions, and geometric concepts .
