"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart. - Nelson Mandela -

Thank You for visiting my profile page. My name is Lidia Bond. I'm from Tacna, Peru. My first language is Spanish. I taught Math and Science in Peru for eleven years. I received my Colorado Teaching License in Math, Science and Spanish and this is my fourteenth year teaching Spanish at Montrose High School. This year I am teaching Spanish 1, Spanish 3 and AP Spanish. Also, I am Spanish professor at Colorado Mesa University, Montrose Campus.

My Spanish class is always fun. We explore Hispanic world culture, traditions and the language itself. In the classroom, we learn from each other. We share and celebrate our cultural similarities and differences. This makes my classroom rich with diverse learning experiences.

I am motivated to extend my talents and skills to the max!

In today’s competitive job market and our multicultural community at home and around the world, the ability to speak, read and write in more than one language can set you apart from the crowd. Montrose County Schools adopted the Seal of Biliteracy to honor our students who have attained high level skills in both English and another language. The Seal appears on the student’s official transcript to certify to colleges and employers that she or he has demonstrated proficiency in multiple languages.
