Why are Volunteer Sign up Forms an important piece to the Volunteer Process puzzle?

First, we always want our volunteers to be approved via the OKCPS Volunteer Application before engaging in any volunteer projects. Having the application front and center on the sign up form helps to remind people to fill out the application first. Also, once an individual has submitted that they want to volunteer, staff members can double check that they are an approved volunteer in Raptor!

Second, we want to track all the volunteer's information so we can not only connect with them about the current volunteer opportunity they've signed up for, but any future projects we have on the calendar.

Next, a sign up form sets the tone for the volunteer project. We can clearly outline the expecations for the activities so volunteers know what they are committing to and can make informed decisions on how they want to invest their time!

Finally, sign up forms provide concise data for staff members to utilize when coordinating events, projects & activities. We want our staff members to have all the information and tools they need to be successful when leading volunteers.
