What to expect Sunday morning

Worship Service

We gather on Sunday morning to seek God in worship, reflection, teaching, and fellowship. Service starts at 10 AM and usually lasts about an hour and a half.

Getting here

We are located downtown at 206 Prospect St. A large parking lot is adjacent to the building—feel free to park here!

We are also next to a stop for the WTA's Green Line (Stop #3204). The 232 bus arrives 20 minutes before service starts.

We have children's church for children eight and under. Volunteers teaching and caring for children are members of the church, and carefully trained.

What service looks like

Every service we worship and hear from God in a variety of ways:

Throughout the service we will read prayers and proclamations out loud together. When you enter, a greeter with hand you a bulletin—bold words in the bulletin are the words we speak out loud.

We sing hymns and songs together before and after the sermon.

We spend time reflecting on our sin and Christ’s promise to restore us. This often includes reciting a prayer out loud together, and spending time in quiet reflection.

Before the sermon starts we take 10 to 15 minutes to greet one another, share some snacks and coffee, and get to know each other better.

We love being taught from scripture. Usually we are working through a book of the Bible, though sometimes we’ll address other topics as well.

Every Sunday we take bread and wine or juice and eat the Lord’s Supper together.
