Richard Loewenstine is a 1969 graduate of Oak Hills High School. During his career at Oak Hills he was a standout wrestler, including becoming Oak Hills first wrestling state qualifier in 1968. His overall high school record was an impressive 50-3 and included two league championships and a district championship. After his career at Oak Hills he was awarded a wrestling scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University where we was a four year team captain, NCAA Division I qualifier and earned the EKU Athlete of the Year Award. Richard went on to teach and coach at Deer Park High School for two years before returning to Oak Hills to teach and coach. He has been a wrestling official for more than thirty years, including earning a spot as the state championship match official. Richard has served the Ohio High School Athletic Association's wrestling community is many aspects and leadership positions.
