Notes are intended to stay on the user's device. When iCloud is enabled and available, notes may also sync through Apple's iCloud services across the user's own Apple devices.
Cortex is sold as a paid app download. The current release does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, or restore-purchase flows.
Some features depend on Apple services, local device settings, or operating system support. If those services are unavailable, Cortex may continue in a reduced or on-device-only mode.
Cortex is built to minimize data collection. The app is designed so that personal notes, links, and tags remain under the user's control.
Cortex does not collect personal information for advertising, tracking, or sale. The developer does not operate a custom server for storing note content created in the app.
Notes, links, and tags are used to provide the core features of the app on the device
When iCloud sync is available, Apple may process data needed to sync the user's notes across their devices
When the app is purchased through the App Store, Apple processes the transaction and related account status
Cortex does not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics services to track users across apps or websites.
Photo Library access may be requested only when the user chooses to attach an image to a note
Cloud services may be used only when the user is signed in to iCloud and the device allows syncing
Data created in Cortex remains available until the user edits or deletes it, subject to the storage and sync behavior of the user's own device and Apple account.
Cortex is a general productivity and education app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children through external data collection systems.
