Then, we want you to use the blank book we sent home to create your own letter book, inspired by On Market Street. We would like to see at least four letters and illustrations. Be sure to put your name on your book, and bring it to school so we can see your terrific work!

Children can draw a picture or cut and paste pictures from magazines, making one picture on each page that begins with that letter. Then children write the word that corresponds to the picture by saying the word slowly and recording the sounds s/he hears.
