Task #2
Create your own Gingerbread Bear!
Use the materials we sent home to create your masterpiece. You can use additional materials from home, too! Take a picture and send it to a KinderKrew teacher or send your finished project to school. Please remember to write your name on your Gingerbread Bear!
Task #3
First, cut and sequence the correct missing gingerbread people in the correct order, then play Gingerbread Squeeze!
To play Gingerbread Squeeze, you will need the number path and two gingerbread cards we sent home in your blue folder. Place the Santa Ginger on left & the Ginger Man on right at either end of the number path. Say: I’m thinking of a number between 1 and ___ (the highest number on your number path) Children take turns guessing the number. If the guess is too high, you say: That number is too high, and move the Ginger Man on the right to cover that number. If the number they guess is too low, you say: That number is too low, and move the Santa Ginger on the left to cover that number. The children continue guessing until the right number has been guessed or “squeezed” between the two pieces. The winner can choose the next secret number and move the Santa Ginger & the Ginger Man according to the guesses.
Students will practice recognizing, comparing and ordering numbers.
