Let's Talk about Race

*Please note: These pages are under construction, but I didn't want you to wait to have resources. Please start where you are, check back often, and keep talking!

More coming soon!*

Dear families,

Thank you for coming to this site. Talking with children (and with other adults!) about challenging and sensitive topics can be uncomfortable and scary. I know I am afraid of saying the wrong thing or making mistakes. But I also know that the biggest mistake I can make is not saying anything at all.

"Silence will not protect you or them. Avoiding the topic is not a solution"

- Beverly Daniel Tatum, psychologist and author of "Why Are All The Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race"

If you just need one place where you can start today, start with this book "A Kids Book About Racism" by Jelani Memory read aloud by the author in this video.
