We are so happy to have your child in our class, and we can't wait to learn more about him/her.

Each week one student will be chosen as our Star Student. When it is your child's turn to be Star Student, I will send a Star Student poster * for your child to complete.

Your child will present his/her poster to the class, and then your child may respond to 2-3 questions from classmates. After the presentation, we will hang your child's poster in our classroom for the week.

*Note about Start Student posters:
Many students (and parents) like to bring the Star Student posters that they made in kindergarten because it is simpler.
I am not opposed to this idea. However, I find that posters are often just filled with a lot of pictures, and not very much information about the student.
The students in our class would like to learn about your child’s likes, dislikes, and personal experiences.
If you want to send another poster, I won’t object,
