"Directing a piece as part of a new writing festival, responding to the prompt On top of the hill"
A collaborative trio of: a writer, a director and an actor, are cast together to deliver a selection of new plays. Twenty minutes versions of ideas for new feature plays, rehearsed and staged at York Theatre Royal.
I worked with writer Adam Jiang to shape his idea into a powerful and poignant piece, about a soldier, bedded in on the top of a hill with her platoon, surrounded on all sides and repeatedly told to hold their position; played by Claire Morley.
