OSSLT

Students in Grade 10 wrote the OSSLT this week. Results will be received in June by EQAO. Students who wrote the OSSLT during Semester 1 have been communicated their results already.

Cleaning the Capital

Cleaning the Capital starts in our own backyard! We have partnered with the City of Ottawa again this year to participate in Cleaning the Capital. Special thanks to Ms. Jones' 7-04 class for embracing the sunshine this week and heading outdoors to clean up our own schoolyard!

High School Play Elsewhere

It's not too late for you to catch Elsewhere if you weren't able to attend on Wednesday or Thursday evening this week! Tickets are available for purchase at the door. Come out to support our High School Theatre program, you won't be disappointed!

April 20th @ 1pm and 7pm

Tickets are $8 for students and $15 for adults

Dodgeball Game Prom Fundraiser

Grade 12 students played an exciting dodgeball game against teachers on Friday, April 19th during their lunch hour. The students luckily came out on top but teachers gave them a run for their money!

Proceeds raised will help to offset costs associated with prom for our graduates. Thanks to all who participated!

CSPA Presentation for Parents

Join us for an amazing evening with Dr. Kryss Shane on Wednesday, May 29th. Dr. Shane is an expert in supporting 2SLGBTQ+ children with over 30 years experience.

We will discuss ways to support 2SLGBT+ children and foster inclusive environments in families and communities. Our event will provide insights on navigating these topics with empathy and openness. Together, we will explore strategies for affirming and respecting diverse identities while addressing concerns or uncertainties that may arise. We look forward to welcoming you to this meaningful event where we can learn, grow, and support one another. More info to come!

Helping Students Prepare for Jobs

The Barrhaven BIA and Unearth Education Éveillée are excited to announce a new workshop designed to give students the skills they need to get hired! This program is designed for Barrhaven youth in grades 9 to 12 who are looking to apply for their first job.

READY TO WORK is an interactive and engaging workshop to help prepare youth seeking employment with relevant information on job preparation as they identify the transferable skills they have and learn to stand out from other candidates.

• Offer participants a rich and dynamic experience as they identify the skills they have acquired through the 7 influencers of their life.

• Prepare participants to apply for work.
