ISU

The Independent Study is an integral part of this course. It will provide you with an opportunity to read, analyze, and compile current scientific research for a topic of your choice. If your plan is to study science at the postsecondary level, you will be expected to know how to locate peer-reviewed journals, how to locate information within those journals, as well as how to properly cite the information you collect.

October 16th Annotated Reference List

November Draft Paper (introduction + at least one developed argument + updated reference list)

Dec 19th Research Paper (6-8 pages, double spaced, not including reference list)

Dec 19th - 21st Presentation (5 - 6 min)


The deadlines have been set in order to give you enough time to complete the research paper and presentation, but also to ensure that you get FEEDBACK along the way. Please do your best to meet all deadlines!
