You can choose one of these goals as an additional goal for your school.
You may also choose to use these strategies to support the Ministry Mandated Goals.
Strategies:
Students will self-evaluate at regular intervals using the Student Friendly Deep Learning Progressions (ie. baseline, mid-year/semester, end of year/semester)
Educators will intentionally teach Critical Thinking by completing a minimum of two OCSB Critical Thinking Lessons. This resource has been created to support this goal and includes lessons that can be taught in French
Develop vocabulary to communicate their critical thinking in Social Studies (Je participe à une discussion, Développer le langage pour communiquer la pensée critique en FLS)
Curate and display examples of Critical Thinking in action to be shared with the whole school community and/or at staff meetings in celebration of growth
Educators will utilize a variety of strategies to explore Critical Thinking with their classes (e.g. OCSB Critical Thinking website, T2C)
Students will develop Critical Thinking, Digital and AI literacy skills through the Samaritans lessons for their respective grades.
Classes will create content exploring Critical Thinking strategies/skill (e.g. summarize, analyze, reflect, synthesize, provide judgment using criteria, etc.) to be displayed in/shared with the school community
Educators will embed opportunities for students to grow as critical thinkers in their lessons and learning activities by intentionally including inquiry questions to guide learning.

Consult and collaborate with central staff to explore learning opportunities and partnerships to further Critical Thinking
Leverage the critical thinking slide decks created for the monthly staff meetings
