Stay up to date:
Welcome to a new year of PGL at St. Emily! This is a new learning and teaching experience for me and I am thrilled to be the teacher of this PGL class and I look forward to learning about and with the students in this class. I have been teaching since 1994 and have taught a wide range of regular and special education classes as well as specialized teaching placements. I'm a mom and wife and our family enjoys outdoor activities, board games, and time with family and friends. I look forward to learning about the student's passions and supporting them to develop their interests while they use their knowledge to better our communities.
My goal is to support the unique strengths and needs of the gifted learners in this class so they can be challenged, grow and feel joy in this program. As a Google certified educator I strive to ensure technology is effectively used as a learning tool while ensuring effective practices.
I have always believed that education is a partnership and I value open communication with students, families and school. My inspiration for this year is a quote from Helen Keller and it echoes my collaborative approach, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Thank you for your support and partnership this year.
