Food Labs

With Valentine's Day approaching, I thought it would be fun to do a themed food lab to kick us off. This week, we'll be making and decorating sugar cookies. While a little more traditional to see sugar cookies around Christmas, these sweet treats are delicious year round! We'll be using a recipe, (adapted from https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/valentines-day-heart-sugar-cookies/) to make heart shaped sugar cookies designed to look like the iconic conversation hearts. We'll be using skills such as measuring, creaming, mixing, rolling, baking, and decorating.
