Our focus as a Health and Physical Education team is to build self-confidence within our students.
As stated in the Physical Health and Education Curriculum - our team strives to instill a “vision that the knowledge and skills students acquire in the program will benefit them throughout their lives and enable them to thrive in an ever-changing world.” We want our students to understand how their bodies move and grow while building healthy, active living skills in a safe and welcoming environment.
Seventh and Eighth grade students have one - 50 minute Physical Education class daily - these classes allow for students to be hands-on, kinesthetic learners. In many instances, students will be working collaboratively in the gymnasium, while other times their class could be found participating in sport outside or their group could be inside a traditional classroom space studying a health topic. In any of these situations, students and teachers get to embrace their unique team environment and build their capacity around physical and health literacy.
Our hope as educators at All Saints is to leave a positive impression upon our students - one that fosters student well-being and self-confidence - now and into the future.
