AUDITION PROCESS

STEP 1: Read the TALENT SHOW INFORMATION posted below. (See information below for details)

STEP 2: Fill out the STUDENT INFORMATION FORM linked HERE.

STEP 3: AUDITION YOUR MATERIAL either in person or digitally (See information below for details)

STEP 4: WAIT: Wait to see if you are chosen for the Talent Show. (See information below for details)

STEP 5: MEETING: If you are chosen, come to the chorus room on Wednesday, September 6 to pick up contestant packets (See information below for details)

STUDENT INFORMATION FORM: To be considered for the Talent Show, each student must complete the information sheet in the assignment below. This must be completed by Friday, September 1 by 5:00pm.

AUDITION: Yes, you have to audition your talent material before being accepted into the talent show. There are two ways to audition. 1) You can submit a video of your talent to kdwilliams@oconeeschools.org. It is easiest to put your video in your google drive or youtube and then share a link. Most files are too large to send over email 2) The second way to audition is to come to the chorus room on Friday, September 1 between 3:45-5:00pm. You can either perform your talent for me live or you can show me a video from your device. This is a good option if you are having technical difficulties and cannot get the video to download or send. ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE TURNED IN BY 5pm ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE TALENT SHOW.

YOUR TALENT: Any talent that has inappropriate language or subject matter will not be considered for the talent show.

CONTESTANT MEETING: If you are chosen, you will be required to come to the chorus room, at your convenience, on Wednesday, September 6 between 7:45-5:00pm to pick up the contestant packet.

DRESS/TECH REHEARSAL: If you are chosen, you will be required to come to a dress/tech rehearsal on Thursday, September 21 from 3:30-6:00pm. You will be assigned a more specific window if you are chosen. During this time, you will have time to run your act on stage with the appropriate microphones, instruments and music. You will NOT be allowed to perform if you miss this rehearsal. This is the day before the performance so we will require each contestant to wear their performance attire for the rehearsal to meet all the tech and lighting needs. Doors will open at 6:30 and the show will start at 7:00pm.

PEOPLE'S CHOICE: People's choice will be awarded to the contestant who has the most votes by the audience.
