Purpose
The Family Engagement Center fosters a school-family partnership contributing to each child's growth and success by:
Providing families with parenting, bilingual, and academic resources
Creating opportunities of involvement for families with diverse backgrounds
Facilitating a parent-to-parent network of support
Identifying and providing a catalog of community services and resources
Promoting a dialog between the school and its families regarding school programs, instruction, conferences, and other school-related happenings
Recruiting and organizing family and community volunteers alongside the PTO to support school events and activities

An inviting space for parents and volunteers
A one-stop shop for educational games, books, and manipulatives available for check out
What can I expect to find at the FAMILY ENGAGEMENT CENTER?
A variety of books and resources for parents to check out to support students at home
Connections to school information, volunteer information, community information
Computers and printers
Brochures and pamphlets that address a wide range of family and educational topics such as The School-Parent Team, Good Study Habits, and Reading.
Who can help me in the FAMILY ENGAGEMENT CENTER?
Either the FEC Coordinator or Assistant Principal Sara Johnson will be glad to assist you.
When may I use the FAMILY ENGAGEMENT CENTER?
From 7:45 to 2:30, Monday through Friday

Room 131A, across the hall from the Media Center.
