Brian Felker began teaching middle school Science in January 1995 at Albany Middle School in Albany, Georgia. Brian later taught Science, Georgia Studies, and Language Arts at Baldwin Middle School and Oak Hill Middle School in Milledgeville, Georgia. In 1998 Brian received certifications in both Gifted Education and Instructional Technology and later moved into an Instructional Technology Specialist position with Clarke County Schools in Athens, Georgia. Before becoming an Instructional Technology Specialist with Oconee County Schools, Brian served as an Instructional Technology Specialist with the Georgia Department of Education at the Educational Technology Training Center at the National Science Center’s Fort Discovery in Augusta, Georgia. Brian has served the students and teachers of Oconee County Schools since July of 2007, published two complete interdisciplinary 4-8 curriculum programs entitled Discovery Academy Wetlands (with co-author Lucy Long) and Discovery Academy Project RAIN, and presented at local, state, and national Science and Technology conferences.
Brian has two boys, Nicholas and Dalvon, and has been married to his best friend Kimberly since 1995. They live in Watkinsville, GA.
