This week in Reading:
Students continue to do a great job choosing books and reading everyday in class! Please encourage this practice at home as well!
- We are covering the following reading literacy skills this week through our Interactive Notebooks-theme, summarizing, characterization and plot. These journals are a wonderful resource for your child to review and study at home!
- We continue to work on our ELA skills and grammar practice through our Mentor sentences each day. The students are doing such a good job with this activity each day! Remember that we have a Mentor sentence quiz every Friday to review our skills from the week's focus!
- Next week, we will begin our first class novel, The BFG, by Roald Dahl. Should be a super fun literacy unit!
