PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The LaFayette Central School District aims to create its first comprehensive Strategic Plan to establish a clear vision for the future, aligning district priorities, initiatives, and resources with the strengths and identities of the schools and communities it serves. With a new Superintendent, the District is poised to involve stakeholders in an inclusive planning process that fosters shared ownership and long-term direction. This includes meaningful collaboration with the Onondaga Nation School and respect for the sovereignty and perspectives of the Haudenosaunee.

The process will incorporate stakeholder surveys alongside the existing data for its Strategic Plan development. These surveys will gather input from various community members, enhancing the planning process by ensuring that diverse perspectives and needs are considered. 

This comprehensive approach aims to foster collaboration and create a plan that reflects the values and priorities of all stakeholders involved.

OBJECTIVES:

• Engage all stakeholders in the process

• Collect, analyze and use data to develop priority focus areas through:

  • Interviews

  • Surveys

  • Secondary data: academic, behavioral, attendance, etc.

• Develop a core committee of stakeholders that includes members across all levels of the organization and the community that will utilize data collected to:

  • Identify three to five priority focus areas

  • Create action teams around each focus area

• Deliver an actionable, measurable and time-stamped Strategic Plan for the BOE by June 2027.

• Create a work plan aligned to the Strategic Plan for implementation in September 2027.
