Mr. Alexander Brandon

Alexander Brandon first graduated from Carroll University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts- Music, then attended University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2016-2018 earning his teaching certification for Instrumental and General Music. While in college, he performed in various ensembles such as wind symphony, jazz band, pep band, collegium musicum, and created a saxophone quartet student ensemble.

Alex joined the OCFJSD in Fall of 2020, teaching 5th grade band at 5 of 7 elementary schools. In 2019 he was teaching middle and high school band at Bangor, WI.

When Mr. Brandon is not at school he enjoys performing in ensembles, arranging music, hanging out with his two dogs (George and Charlie), and running long distances. He also currently serves in the United States Navy Reserves.


Mrs. Katie Kelso

Katie Kelso earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Carthage College in 2000 and Master's Degree in Education from Mount Mary College in 2006. She has performed with a variety of ensembles and has presented workshops for other music educators at the Wisconsin School Music Association fall conference and summer workshop series.

Katie has been teaching in Oak Creek since 2002. She teaches General Music at Meadowview and 5th grade band at Deerfield and Meadowview.

Besides teaching, Mrs. Kelso serves as Board President for the Belle Ensemble and enjoys baking, cooking, and spending time with her family. She does not believe coffee is optional.
