BUILD Program
BUILD, founded in 2011, is a non-profit education program that partners with high schools across the Milwaukee area. The program gives each partner high school a motorcycle donated by the Royal Enfield Company and connects partner high schools through local events showcasing the work each BUILD team put in to their motorcycle. Each team has mentors that help students learn various trades skills with application to motorcycle building, interpersonal skills, and other valuable life skills.
Flat Track Racing
Flat track racing, the type of racing the BUILD team competes in after building their motorcycle, takes place on a flat oval track made of dirt or shale. Flat track bikes have front suspension, rear suspension, and rear brakes. The addition of brakes makes this racing type distinct from speedway racing in the fact that new cornering techniques are used. Many flat track racers move to road racing.
