The SAT and ACT are college entrance exams, and are designed to measure students’ skills and help colleges evaluate how ready students are for college-level work. The majority of colleges require students to take either the SAT or the ACT exam, and will use this information to determine eligibility for admittance as well as when determining any academic achievement grants or scholarships to issue.
