Friday Night Lights

Did someone say get rowdy? Well, rumor has it the Ocean Township has one of the best student sections in the Shore! From the themes that bring us together, to the cheerful chants, to the filled stands — the spirit and energy shown at Carelli Field is undeniable. The themes for this season have included U.S.A., White Out, Neon, Black Out, Superhero/Ski, Pink Out, and Red Out. When the clock hits 7 P.M., students pack the stands and watch as the players charge onto the field. The close-knit vibes were felt throughout the stands. “We’re here through thick and thin — it doesn’t matter if we’re good or bad…We’re all here to support no matter what,” said senior Jake Schwartz. Jake always knows how to set the tone. With Ocean’s last game of the regular season against Red Bank Regional, they finished the season off with an 8-0 winning streak and the Freedom Division Championship title.
