The Ocean Girls Soccer team delivered an impressive performance on October 25th, defeating Shore Regional 2-0 in the Mya Cup. The tightly contested first half saw both teams engage in an intense battle, with exceptional skill and physicality on display.
Mia Fiorentino stole the show with her outstanding footwork, beating three defenders with her quick footwork and finishing with a precise left-footed shot, courtesy of Avery Ohara's assist. Shore Regional continued to press, but Ocean maintained control and capitalized on their momentum. Fiorentino sealed the win with her second goal in the final minutes, showcasing her ability to create scoring opportunities amidst tight defense.Â
This triumph boosts Ocean's record to 8-9-1, setting the stage for a strong run in the state tournament. The electric atmosphere was fueled by a packed stand of enthusiastic fans.
