OTHS Welcomes New Library
by Spartan Spirit Staff
With the retirement last year of long-time librarian Donna Emeric, came questions about who would step into the new role. Luckily, for OTHS students, it's a familiar face: Mr. Mike Huston. Mr. Huston, who has been the face of the OTIS IMC for the past nine years, will now split his time between OTIS and OTHS. The relationships and experience Mr. Huston has built of the past nine and a half years at the Intermediate School should make him the perfect fit here at the High School. On days when Mr. Huston is down the road at OTIS, Mr. Spaeth and Mrs. Maggio can help you with anything you need in the library.
When asked about coming to OTHS, Mr. Huston issued the following statement:
"I was very excited when I found out that I was going to join the team here at Ocean Township High School, and I have not been disappointed. The place is brimming with energy and potential!
It's so great to see so many familiar faces from the intermediate school; and to see how they are growing and coming into their own. I've got big shoes to fill after Ms. Emeric's retirement, but I am hoping that I'm up to the challenge. If there's any way I can support your academic goals just let me know.
I live with my wife and three daughters in Wall Township and when I am not reading a good book, I like to surf or play guitar in my band. If you are looking for a good book recommendation, help with technology or an assignment, or just want stop by the media center and check out Mr. Huston."
WELCOME TO OTHS MR. HUSTON!
