New Local Business: Ocean Brew Co.

Ocean Brew Co., a popular local coffee business, has just opened their doors at a new location in Ocean Township. 

After it was established in 2021, the café’s Wall Township location quickly became a favorite spot for both locals and tourists, and it earned a reputation for its diverse menu, friendly employees, and welcoming atmosphere. At the new Ocean Township location, Ocean Brew Co. has further expanded its offerings by introducing a market and roastery, aiming to provide a one-stop shop for customers. Customers can choose from a multitude of freshly baked goods, coffees, matcha, teas, salads, sandwiches, and even order from their all-new “waffle bar”. Owner Ellen Bodnovich is excited to bring her passion for delicious coffee back to her own community. When asked about why she chose Ocean Township for her business, she said, “From a young age, I dreamed of opening a coffee shop, and after starting one in Wall, I always hoped to eventually open a location in my hometown, where my kids now attend school and I once did. It’s deeply connected to our family’s roots. I wanted to create a space where our kids can feel safe to study or hang out with friends after school, and offer something unique to our community.”

Despite two of the toughest competitors of the coffee world located just down the street (Dunkin and Starbucks), Bodnovich never doubted that her business had something unique and special to offer.

 “What sets us apart from our competitors is our unwavering commitment to community. We actively collaborate with other local small businesses, helping drive growth for their companies as well. Our coffee is roasted in small batches, ensuring quality and consistency, while also allowing us to support local farms that align with our values, including family-owned and women-owned businesses. Above all, we prioritize hospitality—every member of our team is trained to deliver exceptional service, ensuring every customer feels valued and cared for.”

Already customers seem to be agreeing, as positive reviews are pouring in from visitors from all over New Jersey.

For those interested in visiting, Ocean Brew Co. is situated just off West Park in Cobblestone Village Plaza, Ocean Township, NJ. The café operates daily from 6:30 AM to 4 PM, making it a convenient stop for early risers and afternoon visitors. Discounts are also available for customers with a valid student ID, making this the perfect spot to stop for an after-school snack and coffee!
