Welcome to Mrs. Reginio's ELA 6 Classes

Welcome to my class web page! My name is Mrs. Patricia Reginio and this is my 15th year of teaching. Prior to coming to Maple Place eleven years ago, I was a high school English teacher. I majored in English literature and k-12 education at Monmouth University. I hold a Master of Curriculum & Instruction in English and I have a Reading Specialist Certification.

Please check the Parent Portal regularly to keep yourself updated on your child's progress in my classes. I grade over the weekend and update the portal on Mondays, as needed. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, please email me at your convenience.

All class materials (notes, assignments, etc.) are available via our Google Classroom. However, I do keep a calendar of important due dates listed below on my website for parents to refer to, if needed.

Upcoming Due Dates & Homework:

Ongoing Work:

  • On the first day of the month, an independent reading assignment is given. It is due on the last full school day of the month. (Please see the Independent Reading Tab for more information.) This will begin in October.
  • For each full week of school, students are given a list of ten words on Monday. They must know the spelling and definitions of each word. We practice the words throughout the week and they are assessed on Friday.
  • Daily homework assignments are listed in student agendas and/or via Google Classroom. See the attached calendars below for details.
