Can I use my phone, ipad/tablet or laptop at school? 

You are welcome to bring your device to school.  You are allowed to use them on your time in the hallways and at lunch.  Your teachers will communicate what is the acceptable use of devices during class, based on subject and class time.  Bring these items to school at your own risk; they are your responsibility.  If your device becomes a distraction you may be asked or your parents may be asked to keep it at home. This is the time to learn acceptable use of technology.  

Is it okay to have headphones in when the teacher is talking?  No, it is disrespectful and most likely you are not paying attention.  The teacher is there to help you be successful but you also need to help yourself.  Take responsibility for your actions.
