Failed a Course?

The best way to ensure success in a course is by attending class everyday and completing the assigned work.

If you are struggling; act early, don't leave it until the last minute.  Talk to your teacher, ask for extra help.  You can connect with other students in your class to get help.  Talk to your Guidance Teacher if you need assistance.  

What happens if I fail a course?

If you fail a course, the final mark determines your options.  The following options may be available:

1. 1. Repeat the course if you have received a mark of 30% or lower, or if credit recovery is not an option.

   2. Teacher Recommended Credit Recovery if you have received a mark of 40%, but is not guaranteed.

Credit Recovery is available for some courses in the summer.

Note - Only failed Compulsory Courses must be repeated. Elective courses do not need to be repeated, you can take a different elective.
