Sean O'Connor

When I first came to Canterbury, I was most excited about learning and performing music alongside other equally passionate students. Although we’ve been given a number of amazing opportunities throughout our four years (honorable mentions go to playing Nina, virtual jazz solos during pandemic lockdowns, and Little Shop of Horrors pit orchestra), the people are what’s made the experience so special. The community we’ve built within the program has encouraged acceptance and growth both as musicians and as people, and it’s fun to look back at how far we’ve come since grade 9. A final shout-out goes to Mr. Sinkus, who’s sacrificed his sleep, sanity, and family time to help us make the most of our time at CHS. I wish everyone the best,  🙋POOKS!
