Welcome to Canadian & World Studies, Social Sciences & Humanities at AYJ!
A world of opportunities awaits you in our courses.
Our goal is to help students grow into responsible and active citizens within our diverse community and the wider world. Through our programs, students develop strong critical thinking skills, learning to question assumptions, analyze complex issues, and consider multiple perspectives. We encourage students to become thoughtful, informed, and inclusive individuals who can solve problems and communicate their ideas with confidence.
We offer a wide variety of courses in both English and French Immersion. At the senior level, many of our courses also play an important role in the OCDSB International Certificate Program, which AYJ proudly helped to establish as a founding member school in 2013.
Whether your interests lie in history, geography, law, psychology, sociology, or exploring global issues, our department has engaging courses to challenge you and expand your understanding of the world.
