Ms. Grella’s Class Mission

My mission is to create an environment where my students feel safe, important, and respected. I want to provide an experience where my students are motivated to learn, discover new things, and to try their best at all times. 

I want to help my students believe in themselves and feel comfortable taking on new challenges. I will strive to mold students into independent thinkers that try to find solutions for themselves. My students will have the curiosity to seek new answers and the ability to be the best that they can be… all while having fun in the process!

Daily Schedule:  

9:07 - 11:07  ELA Block (Reading, spelling, Writing Workshop, Social Studies)

11:07 - 11:47  Special Area 

11:47 - 12:37  Math (50 minutes)

12:37 - 1:07  ELA/Math Skills

1:07 - 1:47  Recess/Lunch

1:47 - 2:27  ELA

2:27 - 3:07  Science

3:07  Pack up/ Dismissal

Extra Help Day: 

Extra help is offered on Wednesday morning at 8:30AM. I will send home an invitation on Tuesday. 

Homework:

Each night students should read for a minimum of 20 minutes and practice math facts for 5 minutes. 

Spelling: Pre-test is given on Monday to determine the word list for the week. 

Monday: Write each spelling word 3 times each.

Tuesday and Wednesday: 5 sentences each night (total of 10)

Thursday: Finish activities and study for Friday's test
