All participants who submitted a hotel request form will receive complimentary hotel accommodations at the Washington Square Hotel, 103 Waverly Pl, New York, NY 10011.  Anyone who wishes to stay for additional nights may do so at their own cost by contacting the sales office (212-777-9515) and referencing our group (the Racial Equity in Tech Entrepreneurship Workshop at NYU).



Each presenter will have 15 minutes to present their work followed by comments from the discussant and Q&A with the audience.

4. What are the roles of session chairs and discussants? 

Session chairs are responsible for introducing the session's presenters, discussants, moderating the audience Q&A, and helping to keep track of time.  Discussants will review research papers in advance of the conference and offer up to 7 minutes of live commentary and feedback on their assigned paper. 


5.  Do presenters need to submit slides ahead of time?


Yes.  Presenters, please upload your presentation slide decks to this folder organized by your session number and your last name.  This will allow session chairs to review slides ahead of time if they choose to and it will make it easier to access slide decks from the computer.



6.  Is parking available?

The hotel does not offer parking, but GMC garage located at 2 5th Ave Greenwich Village, Manhattan New York City, NY 10011 is the closest garage to the hotel.  If you need parking, make sure to have your ticket validated and keep your receipt so that we can reimburse you for this expense.
