"I really enjoyed the hands on research approach to the papers. There aren't a lot of classes that expect or require this work but is definitely a useful skill to have especially when going into the professional world. I also liked how the first paper's research was a sort of "tutorial" for the next paper."
"Class discussion and the ability to share ideas. Instead of cramming information and worrying about memorizing it for an exam, we were able to actually absorb the content of the course and listen to one another. That cannot be said for many classes!"
"Rachel was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about all of the topics we covered. She was always willing to help students and to clarify information when desired."
"We went over the readings in depth rather than gloss over them, they were central to understanding the course. The archive project was also a lot of fun and got me out of my comfort zone."
"Rachel is extremely well-informed on the topics presented in this course. The course itself gives crucial historical foundation to feminism as we know it and deal with it today."
