NYU Psi Chi

Our mission is to recognize and promote excellence in the science and application of psychology.


Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

STAYING CONNECTED...


We've created a collaborative playlist on Spotify and want YOU to add in your mood boosting, dancing-in-your-room, favorite songs that have been helping you through the school year. We've had a few submissions so far, but want to get as many songs added as possible!


Songs from any genre, year, and lyric-language are encouraged

PSI CHI BOOK CLUB


If you've read any good books lately, related to OR unrelated to psychology, and think your fellow chapter members would be interested, submit the title and a mini (2-3 sentence) synopsis via the form below. You can choose to remain anonymous or disclose your name!


The recs will be posted on our Instagram page every Tuesday.

MEMBER TAKEOVERS


Still in need of one-event for that attendance requirement? Want to show the world (or our 200 followers) a day in your life as an NYU student? Do you go through your days narrating your life vlog-style? ... no? just me? ok.

If you answered YES to any of the above questions, we want you to do a takeover this semester! Mark your availability by filling out the form below. Feel free to check out our E-board takeovers (highlighted on our page) to see examples of what you’d be doing.

Interested in joining Psi Chi? Recruitment begins in the Fall!

The membership requirements are as follows:

- 3.5 cumulative and psychology GPA

- Have the credit standing of at least a 2nd semester sophomore

- Must be enrolled in a major or minor in the psych department (CAMS, Applied Psychology, Neuroscience, Social Work and graduate programs count)

- Must have taken at least four psychology courses (three can be CAMS courses) (at least one PSYCH-UA course - if application is based on only one PSYCH- UA course, student must have received at least an A-)

- Able to attend required *virtual* interview
