This initiative emerged from observing recurring usability challenges in digital systems and technical environments. It focuses on addressing the steep learning curve and interaction costs associated with existing tools, interfaces, and workflows, which often divert users’ attention from their primary tasks or significantly increase the time required to complete them. The goal is to reduce avoidable friction arising from poorly aligned interfaces or unnecessarily complex interactions, which can obscure the underlying intent of users’ work and interrupt productive workflows. For instance, in educational settings, the time and effort students spend formatting their work in LaTeX can overshadow the underlying reasoning and problem-solving process.
To address these challenges, this project explores the development of human-centered, AI-powered interfaces that integrate intelligent components into existing systems to enhance usability and responsiveness. By leveraging AI, these interfaces aim to reduce cognitive load, anticipate user needs, and provide context-aware assistance, allowing users to focus on their primary objectives rather than interface mechanics. Ultimately, the project seeks to improve user experience across diverse applications by enabling more fluid, intuitive, and efficient interactions with complex systems.
