The Arts Center presented two productions spotlighting faculty and alumni performances. La Lezione di Teatro | The Acting Class by Francesca Bizzarri and Goffredo Puccetti presented a joyful lesson in theater and a comic tribute to Italians’ theatrical talent for connecting to anyone and transcending language barriers. It also
hosted Hamour Doesn’t Leave the Cubicle (هامور لا يغادر المكتب) a world premiere commissioned by ADMAF that tackles the human side of bureaucracy and what happens to people who get caught up in systems that operate beyond their control. It was directed by NYUAD alumni Reem Almenhali and written by Ahmed Amadloum. The show, which will be performed in New York next year, sold out and received several invitations from other emirates.

The first cohort from the Office of Executive Education’s Leadership Development Executive Education Program, in partnership with Al Masaood, graduated on September 19, 2024. With six months of dedicated study, rising leaders immersed themselves in an intensive program covering key areas such as corporate sustainability, strategic leadership, and technological innovation. Designed to empower leaders, the program allowed the team to access cutting-edge research and valuable knowledge to enhance their effectiveness in their roles and responsibilities and contribute to Al Masaood’s continued growth and success.

UAE’s QInnovision Consortium and the Center for Quantum and Topological Systems (CQTS) at NYU Abu Dhabi hosted the Inaugural Quantum Industry Day in collaboration with Kipu Quantum. The event brought together leading experts and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in quantum computing and its potential applications. This initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to positioning itself as a global quantum technology and innovation leader.

NYUAD signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Viatris, a global healthcare company. The partnership aims to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases in the UAE, leverage the UAE Healthy Future Study dissemination and research capabilities, and combat the growing burden.
