Graduate and Postdoctoral Programs

The MFA Candidate Weekend in January welcomed 14 applicants for the MFA in Art and Media program, who were selected by faculty to visit the NYUAD campus and explore the emirate itself. During their visit, candidates engaged with Abu Dhabi’s vibrant art scene, including the Public Art Biennial, 421 Arts Campus, Al Hosn Festival, NYUAD Art Gallery, Sikka Arts Festival, and Louvre Abu Dhabi. They also had the opportunity to meet faculty and current students, gaining deeper insight into the exceptional opportunities NYUAD provides for artists.

Our first-ever PhD program in Astrophysics and Space Systems received 159 applications, including 10 from UAE Nationals. Faculty are currently reviewing applications, and we look forward to welcoming our inaugural cohort for this pioneering program in August.

The Stern School of Business at New York University Abu Dhabi has been officially inaugurated, marking the launch of a world-class MBA program in partnership with NYU Stern School of Business — the highest globally ranked business school offering a full-time MBA in the UAE and MENA. 

The first cohort is made up of 54 accomplished professionals from 25 countries, bringing diverse global perspectives and industry expertise. Taught by 11 distinguished full-time faculty and academic leaders from top institutions worldwide, students will benefit from a rigorous, one-year curriculum designed to equip future leaders with the skills to drive impact in an evolving global economy.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by UAE officials, business leaders, and university leadership marked this significant occasion, highlighting Stern at NYUAD’s role as a hub for innovation, research, and business leadership in the region. This milestone will not only enhance our university community but will also benefit the broader business ecosystem, advancing the future of business in the region and reinforcing our commitment to shaping innovative, world-class leaders for tomorrow.
