NYCU SDGs學術海報徵稿活動：踏出永續舒適圈！

根據聯合國於2015年提出的2030全球永續發展目標(Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs)，世界永續議題已不再只流於大型論壇討論，身為地球村的一份子，我們手上掌握著改變世界的可能性。SDGs議題範圍囊括社會、經濟、環境三個維度，並明確地指明方向，希望能促使人類在15年內為共創平等、和睦、宜居的世界而奮鬥、努力。大學作為重要的育學場所及研究機構，除了深究理論，更背負著承先啟後的責任！我們手中掌握的，是人類向前的能動性！近年來，SDGs議題也逐漸影響企業發展與徵才，將SDGs與您的創新、研發與實作能力做結合，並化為實際的行動，除了為您的專業發展與未來職涯開拓出更寬廣的道路，亦為永續發展盡一份心力！

第一屆海報徵件比賽於2021年舉辦，在比賽中，我們看到陽明交通大學學子將其專業置於永續議題框架中，有了突破性、創新的發揮，並能將之與SDGs相連接 (2021競賽成果連結)，達到了本比賽所預期的，在學子心中種下永續議題的種子，立足陽明交通大學，放眼全球議題，並持續在專業領域上耕耘。2022年，我們除延續第一屆NYCU SDGs 海報徵件比賽的方式，更希望能擴展徵件的維度。新的一年，我們面對的挑戰將會更加巨大：Omicron變種病毒、劇烈的氣候改變、人流的移動與遷徙，甚至是戰爭。在這些重大改變的背後，飢餓與貧富差距的鴻溝將更明顯，我們期待有更多探討氣候、減碳、水陸生態，以及如何改善飢餓貧窮的研究來與我們分享！同時，我們也非常希望，能在理論上、概念探討上，以及切身人類、文學、經濟……等領域之研究，一同加入我們的行列！

配合2022年10月21日舉行的「2022國立陽明交通大學校務研究成果分享會」活動，舉辦「第二屆聯合國永續發展目標SDGs論文海報競賽」，並於活動當日舉行得獎海報與影片公開發表。

Stepping Out of Your Sustainability Comfort Zone!
Call for Research Posters for Sustainable Development Goals

The 2030 Agenda for the sustainable development adopted by United Nations includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with 169 targets. The 17 SDGs cover environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainable development, demonstrating the scale and the ambition of this new Agenda and are the call for action by all countries around the world.

In 2021, our first SDGs Student Research Poster Award has exceeded our expectations with some groundbreaking innovations and breakthroughs in various fields to tackle sustainable issues, while also successfully planted the seeds of sustainable awareness to the hearts of students (Link to 2021 Winner Poster). Now that we have entered the first half of 2022, we will continue our efforts in promoting sustainable development goals through research poster competition. This year, greater challenges that we have encountered: Omicron variants, intense climate changes, mass migration and refugee crisis, and even global war. These drastic changes surely cause poverty and widen the gap between the rich and the poor. With that in mind, we look forward to your brilliant ideas and discussions to fight climate changes, reduce carbon footprints, defend our land & water ecology, and improve hunger & poverty.

The Student Poster Session is a part of the larger Conference【2022 Conference on Institutional Research and Sustainable Development Goals/University Social Responsibility】. All the Awardees should be available to share your study at the Conference and attend Award Ceremony on October 21th, 2022. The conference agenda will be released soon.

活動目的 Objective

本活動主要目的在於，希望陽明交通大學學子將其專業發展置於地球永續議題架構下思考，並將之與聯合國永續發展目標(SDGs)相連接，讓學子打開視野，放眼全球議題，思考全球化脈絡下議題與己身的關係。

This Student Research Poster Award provides an opportunity for NYCU students to think how they can use their expertise to achieve the SDGs. As a global citizen, everyone in the world shares the responsibilities for the sustainable development. We hope NYCU students are aware of the global issues and prepared to rise to the challenge in a rapidly changing world.

海報競賽主題 Description

本競賽以「聯合國 17 項永續發展目標(SDGs)」為主要核心，參賽者或團隊可將現正進行未發表或已完成(2019-2022年內已發表)之專題作品或學術研究論文（不限類型：作品、學術研究、個案探討、研發、專題實作成品等皆可），與下列任一或多個項目連結作為競賽內容：

  • 聯合國17項永續發展目標的內涵。(參考連結)

  • 研究方向：不限，可參考中央研究院永續科學中心提出之六大研究方向。(參考連結)

  • 第一屆SDGs海報徵件比賽得獎作品。(參考連結)

This Student Research Poster Award requires students to connect their research works or projects with 17 SDGs. On-going research projects, unpublished research works, research works that have been published elsewhere within 2019-2022, or invention applying for patent protection are allowed.

參加此次海報競賽作品不限轉投其他刊物或獎項，已刊登或獲獎之論文也可參加此海報競賽，但參與者須注意其他刊物或獎項之相關規定，建議您與指導教授討論。請注意，去年NYCU第一屆SDGs海報競賽得獎者不可使用相同得獎作品連續參賽。

Submitting the same research work to another competition, conference or journal is allowed. Participants have the responsibility to check the target journals' guidelines and provide appropriate credit to the source by using standard acknowledgements and citations. We strongly recommend you discuss with your advisor about your submission.


參與對象 Participants

凡國立陽明交通大學目前在學之學生（尤其鼓勵碩士博士生），對永續發展有興趣者，皆可以在學期間之專題作品或學術論文參賽。個人或團隊參賽皆可，團隊以五人為上限，須有一位校內指導老師，且隊員一半以上（含）為國立陽明交通大學目前在學之學生。

Who Can Participate: NYCU current students from all disciplines are welcomed. A student or a team of students (5 students maximum, half of the students in the team should be NYCU current students) can participate with at least one NYCU professor, designated as advisor(s). The advisor(s) should not be listed as an author.

繳交文件 Submission

  • 長篇摘要：以不超過10頁A4為原則(不含參考文獻與圖表)，格式請參考附件。

  • 海報電子檔案：海報大小須為直式 A0 size (寬 84.1cm * 長 118.9cm)。
    (海報製作方式可參考以下建議：參考連結一、參考連結二)

內容須包含：

1. 標題

2. 作者

3. 指導教授

4. 所屬系所、單位

5. 對應 SDGs 之項目摘要：請闡述此專題或論文之內容與解決方案與哪些SDGs項目有關，關聯為何。

6. 須包含專題或論文之目的、方法、結果與討論、重要性與貢獻。

獲獎組別：每組須在10/14 10/17前提供5~8分鐘影片說明研究內容與SDGs之關聯 (中英文皆可，英文為佳)，給主辦單位公佈至發表會網頁，並於發表會當日(10/21)參與(實體)海報發表及頒獎典禮。

  • Long Abstract PDF: A long abstract is required for succinctly describing your research work or project (10 pages A4 maximum not include graphs, tables, and references). Abstract format can be found Here.

  • Poster PDF: The dimension of the poster should be A0 with width 84.1cm x height 118.9cm tall vertical format. Winners’ posters will be displayed during the date of Conference on October 21st (For poster examples and design tips: Link1, Link2).

4. Affiliation: Colleges/Department/Units
5. The connection to SDGs: Please explain how your research work is connected to one or several SDG(s) and how your study addresses corresponding SDG(s)
6. Content: Objectives, methods used, results, conclusions, significance, and contributions

The Awardees should provide a video narration of your poster by October 14 October 17, 2022. Detailed poster presentation recording guideline will be provided to the winners through email. The video narration will be presented along with the poster on the NYCU SDGs official website during the Conference on October 21. All the Awardees should be available to introduce your study at the Conference and attend the Award Ceremony on October 21, 2022.

審查重點 Evaluation

  • 報名：報名資料完整且屬實、並符合本競賽目的及主題。

  • 審查標準：

      • 與 SDGs 之關聯程度 30%

      • 研究對社會之效益與價值 30%

      • 海報結構及內容完整度 30%

      • 研究創新程度 10%

Each long abstract and poster will be reviewed by our review committee. Notifications of awards will be made on September 19th. The following are the evaluation aspects:

  • The connection to the SDG(s): 30%

  • The research contribution and impact on the field and society: 30%

  • The effectiveness of the poster content, structure, and design clarity: 30%

  • Innovations: 10%

獎勵方式 Awards

  • 第一名（1 隊）：獎金 20,000 元及獎狀乙紙。

  • 第二名（2 隊）：各得獎金 12,000 元及獎狀乙紙。

  • 第三名（3 隊）：各得獎金 8,000 元及獎狀乙紙。

  • 佳作（4隊）：各得獎金 5,000 元及獎狀乙紙。

  • 特別獎（若干隊）：各得獎金 2,000 元及獎狀乙紙。

  • First place (1 poster): NT$20,000 and a certificate

  • Second place (2 posters): NT$12,000 and a certificate for each poster

  • Third place (3 posters): NT$8,000 and a certificate for each poster

  • Honorable Mention Award (4 posters): NT$5,000 and a certificate for each poster

  • Special Award (several posters): NT$2,000 and a certificate for each poster

注意事項 Rules

  1. 投稿本次競賽作品不得有違反學術倫理之情事。

  2. 得獎作品如有仿冒、抄襲、盜用或侵權行為，經查證屬實，一律取消資格；已領取獎項者，主辦單位將追回所頒發之獎金、獎狀，違反智慧財產相關法令部分將由當事人自行負責，概與主辦單位無關。

  3. 參賽作品之所有權及智慧財產權皆歸參賽隊伍所有，主辦單位對於參加決賽作品均有攝影、錄音及展覽(實體/線上)之權利。

  4. 投稿本次競賽活動之作者，視同同意授權主辦單位將得獎海報不限形式出版或視出版需要加以編輯，並同意接受主辦單位以錄影、錄音或拍照等各種影音圖像處理，及後續各種形式非營利之公開展示與發行，以利相關資訊流傳。

  5. 參賽者應尊重評審委員的專業評議，對評審結果不得異議。

  6. 競賽獎金統一由團隊代表人代表領取，並依國立陽明交通大學行政流程進行核發。

  7. 若參賽件數不足或未達評審標準，獎項可從缺。

  8. 凡參賽者即視同承認簡章之各項規定，如有未盡事宜，主辦單位保有修改及終止本活動之權利；如有任何內容變更或詳細注意事項將公布於官方平台，恕不另行通知。

Rules for Participation:

  1. All the participants should comply with the principles of academic integrity.

  2. Any types of violation of academic integrity is not allowed. If any violation is identified, the organizer reserves the right to revoke the eligibility of participation and any prizes awarded.

  3. The copyright of the research works or projects will be owned by the participants. During the conference, the organizer reserves the right to display the posters and video narration, take photos, and record videos for the purposes of documentation and promotion of the conference.

  4. By registering for the competition, participants consent to the recording of images and voice by the organizer and authorize the organizer to publish awarded posters.

  5. The decisions of the judges are final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

  6. The awarded prizes will be issued following the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University’s required administrative process. The prize should be collected by the representative of the winner teams.

  7. In the event there are not enough eligible entries, not all prizes will be awarded.

  8. When participating in the competition, the participants agree to comply with the competition rules. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and the rules without notice. Any changes to the competition will be updated on the official website.
