Hello! I'm Kristie Hughes, and I am an Educational Technologist for Northern Buckeye Education Council. I have been employed with Northern Buckeye for 14 years now. My office is located in the Cleveland area, specifically Avon.

I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education. My Master's Degree is in Classroom Technology, also from Bowling Green. I enjoyed teaching Third Grade for two years before moving to Northern Buckeye.

In my job, I assist teachers, administrators, and students with integrating technology into the curriculum, classroom, and school. I work with teachers one-on-one, and in a group setting. In addition to face to face classes, I enjoy hosting webinars to offer options for teachers that may not want to travel. I am also a Google for Education Certified Trainer.

I am married to my husband, Jim, and we have three children - Bridget (8), Clayton (6), and Ashlynn (4). I enjoy spending time with my family and helping out with all of the sports and events that they are involved in.

Hello! I’m employed as a Trainer / E-Rate Specialist for Northern Buckeye Education Council (NBEC). My office is located at Sylvania Computer Services (Sylvania, OH) on the Southview campus.

As a trainer, I’m passionate about making learning fun! Technology enhances my lessons by motivating, engaging, and challenging students of all ages. With E-Rate being the single largest external funding program for K-12 schools, I’m proud of my work in helping customers with program reviews and funding appeals.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts, specializing in Communications and Master of Education, focusing on Educational Technology, both from the University of Toledo. Go Rockets! I’m also recognized as a Google for Education Certified Trainer.

During my spare time, I volunteer with Good Grief of Northwest Ohio as a Support Group Facilitator. I help lead a bereavement support group for children who are experiencing a significant loss.

Hope to see you at an upcoming training!
