SEED

System for Educator Effectiveness Development

Northwest Colorado BOCES received a five-year i3 (Investing in Innovation) federal grant in December 2014 to develop a System for Educator Effectiveness Development (SEED).

SEED offers high-quality, research-based, personalized professional learning opportunities for K-12 rural educators in NW BOCES' member districts using a blended delivery model.

The project seeks to answer three primary questions:

  • How can professional learning truly impact teacher practice?
  • How can rural educators connect with regional peers to reduce isolation?
  • How can the teacher evaluation system be used as a meaningful opportunity for growth?
