Letter to our Ohana, July 2020

We know most of you have been impacted by COVID-19 and this will be a tough year for many of our families. Because of this, our one and only fundraising event is going to look a little different this year.

Last year, with your help, we collected over $45,000! Despite the current challenges, we hope to raise enough money to provide support for...

LAST YEAR:

  • All extramural athletics and clubs

  • Field trips

  • 3D Printer for all students to use

  • Staff appreciation events

  • Installation of cold water stations on each floor of all buildings

  • Hygeia Ozone Sprayer to help sanitize all campus surfaces

THIS YEAR:

  • Replace old chrome books which will be used to lend out to families for distance learning ($200/ea)

  • Funding for Science Fair and online science resources including virtual labs

  • Team funds to support activities throughout the school year (two teams per grade)

  • COVID signage for hallways, staircases and public spaces

  • Maintenance contracts for poster printer and cutout machine

  • Novel rental to support one-to-one novel copy for ELA instruction

Unlike previous years, we will not be sending out fundraising envelopes requesting a suggested donation amount of $150 from each student. However, we ask that you please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Friends of Niu Valley for an amount you feel comfortable.

Every little bit helps us continue to support our administration, faculty, staff and especially our students. Click the button to donate now!

Mahalo for your support!
